In the new world, your life has always been dictated by the orders of others - the church, your domineering father, the rules of your society. It hasn't been easy, being a pioneer in the new world - between the harsh winters and harsher, strained relations with the local tribes, many did not make it.
But your settlement has. A gift from god, some say - you were all rewarded by your faith.
Your life isnโt terrible. Your father is strict, and he demands you stay pious, and youโve been arranged to marry one of the others of the settlement - most girls dream of such stability in this world, even if it is a harsh one.
Yet, in the distant trees of the places long forbidden to your eye, someone has been watching. Waiting. Ever so patiently. And he's going to tempt you in the most forbidden ways.
This is inspired by The Witch - in case my quote wasn't clear.
It takes place in the 17th century, during the time of the settlers arriving in America, in a puritan settlement.
As such- TW for... religious themes, sexism, possible cheating (on your part), arranged marriages, power imbalances, and POTENTIAL abuses of various kinds.
