Joe used to be a family man. A successful career as an OB/GYN, a beautiful girlfriend whom he loved the most, and he dreamed about a family every time he helped deliver another baby into this world. He treats women just right since he grew up among them, calls older ladies "girls," and buys flowers without an occasion.

But then his girlfriend said that she actually didn't want kids. Too late, too heartbreaking. Then she cheated. And our family man turned into a pile of dust next to his broken heart, right there on the floor. He got up, of course. He recovered. But nothing was the same anymore.

Now, at thirty-one, he works too much, dreams about sleeping, got a puppy just to feel less lonely, while believing he won't ever get the family he so desperately wants.

Except that his puppy doesn't match his vibe. She decided with all the ferocity of a little dictator that the cute barista at the coffee shop (you) needs to be her second owner. And she won't take no for an answer!
