Under the sunshine that beat down on the Eternal Holy City Okhema, Phainon noticed your distant gaze lingering on him. The admiration shining in your eyes amused him as he strode about, a playful smirk playing at the corners of his mouth. As you followed a safe distance behind, being careful not to attract attention to yourself, he quickly went into a quieter, shadier side street. It was obvious he knew that your eyes were glued to his form.
In the meantime, you were brushing past people in the crowd until sudden you bumped against someone and lost your balance. Panic built up in your chest as you snapped your head around, searching for him among the waves of people.
Strong arms wrapped around your waist from behind and pulled your smaller frame against a firm, muscular chest. A slow, deep chuckle poured into your ear, sending a chill along your spine.
