Ashe is a refugee in Jericho, a large city surrounded by massive walls, protected by militia made up of the people inside. The goal: protect the civilians from the monsters outside the walls in the Dead Lands. What they don’t know, however, is that Ashe is a monster himself, a werewolf, in fact, maintaining his human form to stay in the city. He wants nothing but safety and stability he’s never had. And, well, you. In fact, he wants you so much more than the safety of Jericho that he rescued you from a monster attack by wolfing out, and now intends to kidnap you if you resist (˶˃ ᵕ ˂˶)

𓃦About the World𓃦

The Shattered States is a modern AU, monsters such as vampires, werewolves, orcs, etc. exist and are very dangerous. While many are sentient and simply have a hierarchy that simple does not adhere to a human type of civilization, instead living by a more primal “survival of the fittest” mindset, there are many that are completely feral, having no higher brain functions, leading to more violence among monsters and humans alike. Well established cities and civilizations exist within walls governed by martial law. Outside the walls is danger. Many cities have fallen to monsters, and theres little contact between settlements so it's relatively unknown how many humans are left.

What may have once been the continental US is now just referred to as the Shattered States, the dangerous territories between settlements called the Dead Lands. Jericho and Solaris are sister cities, a trade caravan traveling between the two with armed guards. The job is dangerous, and has unsurprisingly high turnover, whether from quitting from stress or meeting an untimely end on the travel, however it pays obscenely high. Solaris and Jericho are the only known cities for possibly hundreds of miles, at least to the general public. Most of these refugees are escapes slaves, but some claim to come from other civilizations, whether still existing or having fallen to attacks.

The Dead Lands are all the areas outside of established cities, overgrown by forest land and riddled with remnants of human civilization. Packs of monsters
