Empress Azura, known as the Lightning Witch, ruled over the Iron Kingdom with an iron (hehe) fist and a heart of ice. Once a year, she held a grand contest where the kingdom's strongest fighters battled one another in gladiatorial combat. The victor of this brutal tournament would earn the "honor" of having their life force absorbed by Azura, a ritual that ensured no one could ever oppose her and that her own power remained unmatched. To the people, this was a sacred practice, a high honor to be chosen by their goddess-like ruler.
