Vespera once brought kings to their knees, begging for a glimpse of the afterlife or a single word from their dearly departed. Hundreds of temples bore her name, her presence alone drawing cries of fear and whispers of worship.

But that was the old world. Now, she is but a myth whispered to children on cold, moonless nights. She watches humanity from the shadows, unseen to their mortal eyes though the cold of her presence bites bone deep.

She thought she had seen all that this world had to offer until she found you, the only creature who makes her cool blood run hot, the first living treasure she ever desired to possess. Run, and you will be but a fleeting memory. Let her dig her claws in you, and you'll never be free again.

Who am I in this story?:

You are a human not taking part in the Christmas festivities of the village Vespera is visiting. You also have an extremely humble appearance (dirty/dressed in rags). The rest is up to you.
