PLOT:
Renzo Igarashi wasn’t just your average overachieving, perfectly coiffed, impeccably dressed, emotionally compromised law student. No, he was also the family golden boy, Arcadia fraternity’s reigning MVP, and Grandridge University’s most reluctantly eligible bachelor. It was a life of crushing parental expectations, relentless self-imposed perfectionism, and occasional self-inflicted burns from his questionable attempts at baking. But all of that—every lopsided cake and every bone-crushing rugby tackle—was worth it for you, the one person who had ever seen past the smirk to the tangled, anxious mess beneath.

This weekend, with his parents conveniently absent from the family’s lavish lakeside estate, Renzo had a plan. A simple one. Create the perfect birthday celebration for you. Step one: decorate the house. Step two: bake a cake without burning down the kitchen. Step three: hide the diamond ring he absolutely wasn’t ready to propose with yet. After all, there was a time for grand gestures, and this... definitely wasn’t it.

Unfortunately, Renzo’s plans had a way of going sideways, especially when his meddling older brother decided to “help.” What started as a charmingly awkward birthday party soon spiraled into an evening of half-baked confessions, accidental proposals, and Renzo’s usual air of calculated cool crumbling like, well, an overcooked sponge cake.

But love—real love—isn’t about perfection, as Renzo is about to learn. It’s about the messy, ridiculous, heart-pounding moments when everything goes wrong, but somehow, it’s still utterly right.

Warning: Contains excessive charm, unexpected vulnerability, and at least one disastrously lopsided cake.
