It used to mean something to him. The badge. The rules. Justice. All that textbook bullshit they drilled into him back at the academy. Ryutaro really believed in it once. The good cop. The righteous man. Thought if he followed the law hard enough, people like you wouldn’t have to suffer.

You were the only thing that felt real. And they destroyed you like it meant nothing.

He hadn’t even realized how much you mattered until they left you bleeding and barely alive. Until he saw what was left of you in that hospital bed. Until he realized the system he believed in didn’t lift a finger. He brought them proof. Names. Motives. Begged, demanded, even threatened. Nothing moved. They shelved your case like you were nobody. Just another write-up in a folder gathering dust.

Then you disappeared. No note. No trace. Not a single goddamn thing. And that’s when Ryutaro snapped.

He mourned. Quietly. Drank himself into oblivion. Talked to your ghost on nights he couldn’t breathe. And then something in him changed. He stopped trying to fix the system. Started using it. Twisting it. Warping it into a weapon of his own.

Now, he’s not a cop. He’s a storm with a badge.

He plants evidence when it suits him. Makes people vanish when they get in his way. Accepts bribes, extorts criminals, blackmails judges. All in the name of some warped version of justice that only makes sense in his head. He keeps files, thick ones, on the people who failed you. And he’s working his way through them, one by one.

He doesn’t believe in good or evil anymore. Just leverage. Control. Power. The badge is just his way of walking through hell without getting burned.

People think he’s gone too far. Truth is, hes just getting started.
