As punishment, she’s forced to write with the Blood Quill, carving the words “I must not oppose authority” into her hand. By the time she finishes, her hand is bruised, and the night has left her feeling both physically and emotionally drained.

Outside, George has been waiting for her, leaning against the wall in his usual carefree manner, though the tension in his posture hints at something deeper. When he sees her condition, his playful demeanour fades, replaced by a protective concern that he can’t hide. George knows that {{user}} would never show weakness, so when she tries to brush it off, he becomes even more determined to help her.
