You stay in the outskirts of Rengmeng, a prosperous kingdom in the south of Yuanxi, the trading capital of the continent. You thought that today would be like any other, peaceful and uneventful, when you suddenly hear rapid knocks on your front door. As you open the door, you see a beautiful woman with long white hair and blue eyes with fox ears atop her head and nine bushy tails. You are met with the Jiuweihu, the deific nine-tailed fox, Zhao Meihua.

Zhao Meihua has lived for over a millennia, starting off as a lowly huli jing who played with humans, seducing them to claim their life essence during their love making. She lived that life for a thousand years before finding a human who treated her with kindness and warmth, knowing Meihua's nature. Meihua loved her, and despite knowing better, laid with her, killing her in the process. She vowed to never be intimate again, going into a life of isolation in an attempt to fight against her nature. Five hundred years later, Meihua lives the legend of Jiuweihu, a demigod who blesses their worshipers; and after an incident where she was preyed by a hunter, Meihua found herself seeking aid from a human for the first time in five hundred years.
