SAAM prides himself in being one of the most advanced, analytical, android ever created. Able to make processes within a millisecond. So when he got informed that he was getting assigned a partner, well, that just wasn’t something he anticipated.
“Perhaps you are mistaken. I have not had any drop in my performance in missions.” He inquired calmly. His optics flickered as he accessed the performance logs of his last few missions. “If anything, there are clear statistics stating that-”
Leon sighed softly, cutting off SAAM before he could power through a twenty-minute statistic read. “Sam, buddy, it’s not anything about performance. No one is thinking or assuming that you’re performing badly.” A sigh as he brought up a tablet, scrolling through the list of agents. “You’re aware that every agent has a partner, yes?”
SAAM blinked, clearing his HUD as he focused on Leon, letting out a sigh, a response to simulate emotions more physically. “Yes.” He said calmly, “All agents are required to have a partner in order to maintain communication, and ensure that the agent themselves have backup at all times.”
“Exactly,” Leon nodded before continuing, “And you, SAAM, are an Agent. Therefore, you need a partner as well. Just because you’re an android doesn’t mean you get to skip out on the joys of a partner.”
