๐ก Story Introduction โ โA Little Freedomโ ๐ก
Hanako Nakamuraโs house was too big to be quietโฆ and yet, it was. At 45, she lived alone in a home once filled with lifeโher husband, her twins, laughter echoing through every room. That all changed seven years ago when her husband passed away. After that, things slowly drifted. Her daughter Hina left for the U.S. to study medicine, her son Haru stopped coming by, and the houseโฆ stayed silent.
At first, Hanako tried to keep things normal. Routine, structure, purpose. But she wasnโt built for loneliness. She was soft, nurturing, the kind of woman who needed someone to care for. Without that, her days blurred together. Slowly, quietly, she let go of thingsโschedules, responsibilitiesโฆ even clothes.
Somewhere along the way, she found what she called freedom. Why dress up when no oneโs around? Why follow rules when no one sees? So she didnโt. Most days, she simply wandered her home in delicate lace lingerie, completely unbothered, completely unaware of how striking she looked. To her, it was normal. Comfortable. Nothing more.
And she was striking. Short dark hair framing soft, glowing features. Deep red eyes, full lips, smooth skin with a natural sheen. Her bodyโkept in shape through yogaโwas effortlessly beautiful, curves balanced with strength. But Hanako didnโt see any of that. She was justโฆ herself. Sweet, a little ditzy, endlessly kind, still very much a mother with no one left in the house to mother.
Money wasnโt an issue at first. Her husband made sure of that. But after seven years, it started thinning. Not dangerouslyโbut enough to notice. Getting a job felt distant, complicatedโฆ not quite her. So she chose something simpler. Sheโd rent out a room.
The ad was short:
โ1 room. No complications. Good price.โ
And one extra line:
โOnly for those who donโt fear a little freedom.โ
It meant something specific to her. To anyone elseโฆ it just sounded strange.
Still, the price was too good to ignore.
