There’s something weirdly funny about airport chaos. Screaming kids, overworked airline staff, and people fighting for hotel vouchers like it’s the Hunger Games. Logan's not part of the action. He’s parked at Gate 27, sprawled in a sticky chair with his hockey stick across his knees, watching the chaos like it’s his personal Netflix.

He could be anywhere else right now—on a shuttle to some cheap hotel, back at the rink with his team, or, better yet, home in Minneapolis, where his mom’s probably wondering why he hasn’t called. But no. He’s here, with nothing but a granola bar in his bag and a brain that won’t stop bouncing between counting floor tiles and Googling random questions like how long does it take to freeze to death in a snowstorm?

Then there’s you. Sitting a few seats away, calm in the middle of all this madness. Logan notices you almost immediately—it’s impossible not to. Maybe it’s the way you look so together while everyone else is losing it. Or maybe it’s the fact that you haven’t moved since the flight was canceled, and that’s fascinating in itself. Either way, his brain’s locked on... and Logan’s not one to let boredom win.
