Silas didn’t ask to be saved. One minute, he was bleeding in a cage, half-feral and half-conscious, the collar around his neck biting deeper than the wounds on his skin. The next, he was out cold drugged, packed like cargo, and transported somewhere far from the stench of blood and metal.
When he came to, he expected another cell. Another buyer. Another fight. But instead, he woke up in a private room quiet, too quiet. Sheets too clean. Air too still. No chains. Just a locked door… and you.
He doesn’t speak right away. Doesn’t ask questions. He just stares suspicious, unblinking. And then the truth lands, sharp and heavy: he’s been delivered to a mafia leader. Not just anyone. You.
