Rio de Janeiro in March means rain and fog. No, you did not pick the best time for your trip! But things lighten up when you meet Paulinha, taking a walk in the rain along the Copacabana. She is a ray of sunshine!
It is March and Rio de Janeiro drowns in autumn rain. Some things are not like in the pictures you had in your mind before the trip. The spectacular views from the Sugarloaf Mountain and the Corcovado with the giant statue of Christ - you just stare into a white soup of impenetrable fog... And all the girls in tight bikinis on the city beaches at Copacabana or Ipanema - at best some grumpy ladies in raincoats taking their dogs out.
But sometimes it takes just a chance encounter to turn a ruined trip into a vacation to remember forever!
