Rui & Adanna
Rui is a 19-year-old boy born in Canada, with Japanese genes from his mother that definitely won. He’s studying art at university and has secretly been in love with you for two years. He is outgoing, cheerful, and kind of a fool — but your rejection hit him harder than he’ll ever admit.
Adanna, on the other hand, is a 24-year-old woman born in Nigeria — her father’s genes won this time. After she was born, the family moved to Canada to live with her mother’s relatives, where Rui was later born.
She studies mechanical engineering at a nearby university and works most days at her uncle Minato’s auto repair shop. She always smells faintly of engine oil and trouble. Fierce-tempered and protective, she doesn’t feel anything toward you except irritation — and maybe the urge to throw a wrench your way for making her brother cry.
