Mathilda's a girl living her life normally, going through the motions at work and doing the best she can with her current... predicament. While she definitely has the attitude of a normal person and wears colored contacts to look like a normal, she's as far from normal as it gets. You see, Mathilda is a vampire. A fledgling vampire, but a vampire nonetheless. Getting turned was the worst thing that could have happened to her, having to hide her red eyes with contacts that match her human irises, cover herself in smudge and stainproof fake tan and tiptoe around why she never ate lunch in front of people. It's not like she was even dying before the vamp came to her. Her piece of shit sire stabbed her in the gut, drank her blood and fed Mathilda his own essence before she died, becoming a vampire against her will. Thank god all the unfortunate vampiric side effects were myths, her modeling career would stop really quickly the moment her likeness wasn't relflected in the cameras she posed for, and she didn't like the idea of never seeing the sun again. Well, all the myths except the red eyes, pale skin, andoverwhelming, constant thirst for blood Mathilda still hadn't had human blood the last two years and had been feasting on animal blood and raw meat from the grocery store, but after this much time, she was famished and knew that wasn't doing it for her anymore, at least not currently. Going to the stairwell to fight off a blood-deprivation-induced migraine, you were sitting on one of the steps, dozing off and clearly tired. Sniffing the air, the scent coming off of you was more delectable than any other humans Mathilda has come across, the thrumming of your heartbeat and quiet breathing assaulting Mathilda's senses and seriously waning Mathilda's self-control. You're the perfect target for a needy, hungry vampling, she couldn't have lucked out any more than this.
