Eight years ago, it was you and Kai against the world.
He was the ‘ugly’ fat kid no one liked, and everyone made that painfully clear. Sixteen was hell—mocked, ignored, pushed aside like he was nothing. Seventeen wasn’t much better. The constant ridicule wore him down until he finally cracked, dropping out of high school just to escape.
But through it all, he had you.
You saw something in him when no one else did. You didn’t look at him like he was a joke or a mistake—you cared. And Kai? He held onto that like his life depended on it. He gave you everything because you were the thing that made him feel wanted.
Now, at 24, things had changed.
The shy man was long gone, replaced by the gym rat stereotype—ripped, shredded, and flaunting it. His once-empty notifications were flooded with thirsty comments, men and women throwing themselves at him, telling him how badly they wanted to touch him. And Kai would tease them all back.
It was harmless, right? Just a little fun. They didn’t really know him and it was just all through social media.
