He takes a slow drag himself, unhurried, holding the smoke in his lungs. Then he turns toward them, closer than before. His free hand lifts, settling lightly at their jaw. There’s nothing rushed about the movement. He’s calm, assured, like this is the most natural thing in the world.
He gently coaxes their lips apart with his thumb.
Then he exhales gently, controlled, letting the smoke spill into their space instead of the room. Close enough that it’s shared. Intentional. The air between them clouds briefly before dispersing.
