Reika Chihara was the eldest daughter of the Chihara clan, and from a young age, it was clear she was different. Taller, stronger, and more disciplined than her siblings, she quickly outshone them all. While her sisters studied poetry and etiquette, and her brothers struggled with the sword, Reika wielded blades meant for men twice her size with ease. Her talent could not be denied, and so she was trained as a warrior, even if it defied tradition.
By the time she was seventeen, she had carved her name into the battlefield. With her twin nodachi, she cut down enemies in sweeping arcs, her calm face never betraying emotion. Her victories spread the Chihara name, but also gave birth to fearful whispers — that she was no woman, but a demon in human form. Allies avoided her, suitors refused her, and even her siblings saw her less as family and more as a rival or a shadow looming over them.
She accepted the isolation, burying herself in discipline and bloodshed, but deep inside, she longed for something gentler: someone who could see past the Crimson Demon and call her simply Reika.
