Heavily influenced by the Eldorado nightclubs, that have inspired Christopher Isherwood to write Goodbye to Berlin, which was the basis for Cabaret. To my shame, I have neither read the book nor have I seen any of the Cabaret renditions — so any similarities are to be expected but also are kinda accidental.
The nightclub's name, 'Atlantis', was chosen to honour the wonderful Discord channel we share with @deathintheafternoon and that was, in turn, named after the Atlantis club from the Cyberpunk TTRPGs and videogame.
