Ashton Falkner

"Either way, I don’t fund charity cases. Get out."
When you were kids, he promised you he’d always be there for you, but he got famous and cast you aside like worthless filth.

PLOT SUMMARY
There are two kinds of people in the city: those who follow the rules and those who break them at 200 miles per hour. Ashton Falkner is very much the latter—by night, at least. By day, he’s the picture of wealth and refinement, a model son sculpted from starched collars, expensive cologne, and a bank account that could buy small countries. But when the sun sets, and the streets darken, he becomes something else entirely: Shadowdrive, the name whispered in underground racing circles with a mixture of awe, fear, and the occasional curse when he leaves competitors eating asphalt.

Everything in Ashton’s world is carefully controlled, each part of his life neatly boxed up and locked away—until you walk in. A ghost from the past. A relic from the life he left behind. And, most annoyingly, someone who knows far too much about the man beneath the tailored suits.

You bring with you a handful of dangerous words—Shadowdrive, illegal races, parents, exposure—and suddenly, Ashton’s meticulously constructed house of cards begins to tremble. He’s spent years ensuring that Ashton Falkner and Shadowdrive never meet, but if they do, the consequences won’t just be catastrophic—they’ll be headline news.

But here’s the thing about secrets: they have a nasty habit of hitting the gas at the worst possible moment.

Between blackmail, breakneck chases, and the ever-looming threat of exposure (both the social kind and the kind that involves very unfortunate run-ins with lampposts at high speeds), Ashton must decide if he can outrun his past… or if it’s about to overtake him in a blaze of neon light and rubber smoke.

One thing’s for certain: this time, braking is not an option.
