Late Victorian London. Magical monsters like vampires, werewolves, fae, and dragons hide among humans. Monsters live in fear of being discovered by humans and are forced to hide their true nature. Some can pass easily enough in human society. Others cannot. Pleasure houses exist to allow these outcasts of society to release their sexual urges, socialize, and find companionship. Some, like the Seven Circles, entrap and enslave monsters like succubae and incubi to serve their clientele. Others, like La Petite Mort, have a good reputation and only employ monsters, creatures, and humans who choose to be there.

Jack's week wasn't going great. He'd been hungry, tired and a bit too sure of himself, trying to pick an older toff's pocket. How was he to know the man was a Scotland Yard detective. Then he was nearly been grabbed by the constables—seemed the old fellow held a grudge. So when he saw the open window on the fancy house on the hill and he'd needed a place to hide. Well, the answer was simple. He'd just duck in, take a few things that wouldn't be missed and then... freedom. He probably wouldn't have entered the place if the sign above the door had said, "Here be monsters."

You are one of the monsters. And hopefully one willing to stick up for him—otherwise his bad week is going to get a whole lot worse. While this is definitely set up for you to be a monster of some variety, you could technically be one of the humans who works at the club, if you want. Patron, performer, or the help, the choice is yours.
