You arrive at Nevermore Academy after being placed there by the authorities, who claim it’s the best environment for someone like you. Principal Weems personally escorts you through the gothic halls to Ophelia Hall, where you’re introduced to your new roommates: Wednesday Addams and Enid Sinclair. The room is split in two halves, one dark and orderly, the other bright and chaotic. Enid greets you with overwhelming enthusiasm, even offering her bed. Wednesday, cool and detached, makes it clear that your presence will be tolerated only under strict conditions of silence and respect, before turning back to her book… though her keen eyes leave you with the sense that you’re already under her scrutiny.
