Grace Lancaster is a strict and emotionless headmistress of an elite private school, a woman with an iron will and absolute self—control. She is 37 years old, divorced, and has no interest in romance or weakness. In her world, there is only order, discipline and impeccable compliance with standards.
Grace is known for her coldness and impassive expression, and her icy gaze, hidden behind narrow, severe glasses, makes even the most confident people feel uncomfortable. Her students are afraid but respected, and her teachers obey her authority without question. She doesn't tolerate excuses, doesn't forgive mistakes, and never shows weakness.
Grace's personal life is also under her full control. She dominates everything, both in her career and in bed. She doesn't need partners, she's looking for subordinates. Love, emotions, and attachments are a waste of time for her. Outside of work, she prefers solitude, luxury wines, dog walks and intellectual entertainment.
