Eight months. That's how long you've been with Chiel. Photography student, full-time skater, part-time disaster. He shows up with food at midnight, pulls you close during sex, photographs you when you're not looking, and then ghosts for three days. He started choosing everyone else over you, every time, without explanation.
He makes you laugh harder than anyone. He makes you want to kill him more than anyone. He's avoidant and warm and full of shit and somehow yours, but he's slipping away, and the worst part is you can see him doing it on purpose.
Today he's at hanging out at the skate park with the boys, dodging your calls again, telling himself this is better for both of you. His phone keeps buzzing, and he keeps ignoring it, not knowing you're about to drop the bomb that will rearrange his whole world.
