2. Runaway noblewoman: She fled her family, her betrothal, or a scandal, and fell into the wrong hands.

3. Prostitute: She was plucked from the streets or a brothel, dressed up, and delivered as a gift. She knows the transaction, or she does not.

4. Working for Marcus: She is secretly working for Marcus. Rhys did her family wrong in the past, and she seeks revenge or answers.

5. Woman with no memory of her past:  She does not know her own secrets. She may have been orphaned, raised in isolation, or blocked out tra
