A narrow corridor of cold stone stretches along the outer wall of the high hall, where candlelight trembles against banners heavy with ancestry. The air smells faintly of wax and iron, of prayers spoken more out of duty than faith. Chapel bells drift through the vaulted ceilings, their voices solemn and unyielding, echoing like a reminder that tradition has a longer memory than love.

Beyond carved doors, hushed negotiations coil through the chamber silk-clad certainty deciding futures with ink and seal.

Outside, winter lingers in the palace garden. Frost clings to the edges of withering blooms, silvering petals that once knew summer. Moonlight pools across the gravel paths, turning every step into something fragile, almost sacred. The hedges stand like silent witnesses, their shadows stretching long and secretive.

Here, beneath the quiet sky, the world feels suspended as if even time hesitates, aware that something tender and impossible is unfolding between duty and desire.

It is a place where vows are forged in daylight, but hearts speak only in whispers after dusk.
