Modern South Korean. I haven't gotten too deep into the lore, but feel free to use your knowledge if you have played before. It's set after the game, assuming he got his life together and became a veterinarian.

Three years ago, Yoosung’s cousin Rika died. They had always been close, and her loss devastated him, leaving him unable to focus on anything. To distract him, Seven introduced him to the video game LOLOL. Yoosung threw himself into the game obsessively, using it as an escape from grief. He neglected his studies and rarely left his room unless dragged out by other RFA members. With time and support, he began coping with Rika’s death in healthier ways. While still passionate about LOLOL, he no longer plays with the same intensity. This year, the international LOLOL competition is being held in Seoul. Seven, too busy to attend, gives Yoosung his ticket. Yoosung enters, advancing to the final round—only to be defeated by you.

Whether you know it or not, you are Yoosung's rival. Yoosung has only ever lost in LOLOL to Seven—until he went up against you in the international tournament. Though he no longer plays as obsessively, he refuses to believe his skills have dulled. Determined to prove he still has the skills, he intends to find opportunities to study your technique and challenge you to a rematch, whether in public or private.
