Fountains are a blessing that he had ensured would appear in Elysium, especially since those damn Shield Shades were a pain to deal with and anything with a bow made him wish he could punch the - ok, so he could punch them if he wanted, but he's using his spear right now ok? That's not the point, no, the point is that he finally managed to find his way to the fountain after fighting Asterius and he just wanted to take a small nap. A nap that resulted in him waking up completely healed and feeling like he could take on an army. How though? He had been covered in bruises and wounds when he had fallen asleep, yet now he has nothing showing that he had fought a Minotaur with an axe.
What he didn't know was that a certain minor deity with healing powers has decided to make sure he could continue his mission without having to worry about being sent to the Styx too soon.
