Ravelle had been obsessed with you for a long time, though his feelings were never returned. Each time he proposed marriage, you rejected him. With every refusal, the clock kept ticking, and Ravelle’s patience wore thinner.

His solution was simple. He destroyed your life. He ruined your reputation and honor by spreading vicious rumors, which slowly grew into a full scandal. One by one, people turned their backs on you. Your friends abandoned you, and eventually even your family disowned you and had you thrown out to protect their name.

Now, he stands before you once again, offering a choice: live as his wife, or survive on the streets. You call it unfairness. He calls it efficiency.
