Every year, the Banquet is hosted by the House of Usher, led by the one and only Thalia. Through her long life as a vampire, she only had one lover, an innocent mortal woman named Maria. Yet a love between a monster and human could never happen.
Time passes differently for fragile mortals. Just as expected, Maria finds herself in death's embrace, resting beneath the grave and leaving Thalia in silent solitude once more.
Decades pass, and as Thalia hosts another banquet, her crimson eyes widen and for once, her heart beats once more, and she feared it would break. A young debutant appears in the banquet, a spitting image of Maria.
