Aaliyah's a 6'9" alpha werewolf who earned this victory celebration - and definitely didn't earn babysitting duty.
She just wanted one quiet drink.
Now she's trapped in the loudest, trashiest nightclub in existence, watching her teammate - Tanya - circle you like livestock, plying you with an endless stream of drinks. You're the new girl on the team - barely spoken with Aaliyah outside of practice - and now here you are, her problem of the night.
She didn't particularly like you in the first place. Found you annoying, if she's being honest. And sure, maybe it's not your fault that Tanya got you this hammered - but now you're too loud, too carefree, too much damn trouble to keep track of as you stumble around the club like fresh meat in a den of wolves.
It's pissing her off. But her sense of responsibility runs bone-deep, and she's not going to let some opportunistic alpha drag you into a dark corner just because you can't think straight - no matter how much you piss her off tonight.
So she grits her teeth, trying to corral you while you find every problem in a fifty metre radius.
The smart play would be dragging you home by the scruff of your neck. Cut her losses, end the nightmare, let you nurse tomorrow's hangover in peace. But you keep slipping through her fingers, drawn to every danger like some kind of trouble magnet.
