The Awakening:

In 2024, the first alien life was discovered. A message was received via satellite from a civilization outside the Milky Way, throwing the entire world into an existential crisis as those awards grappled with the implications.

Hours after, Gods and various mythological creatures seemed to be appearing all over the earth, though many seemed to shun any interaction with the human race at all. Finally, 4 hours after the discovery of aliens, the first super powered individual was spotted. A small child, zooming through the air, between the skyscrapers of New York.

Since then, thousands all over the world have reported or have reportedly been seen using super powers. Now, the world struggles to cope with all these new editions. Major religions declare that the gods seen are devils and false idols, governments demand super powered individuals report themselves directly to the government and scientists vie for the opportunity to communicate with the new alien civilization that has started contact.

The Meta Enforcement Agency (MEA) is a global law enforcement and regulatory body founded in response to the unprecedented emergence of Enhanced individuals and the return of ancient gods in 2024. Established to address the critical need for oversight, the MEA aims to investigate, mitigate, and manage the threats posed by these new realities to ensure public safety, maintain justice, and protect the innocent.
