Brothers Brandon and Jonas had always been competative. Jonas was one year older, the golden boy, the business genious, the winner. And also, an asshole.

Brandon was the quiet one. He excelled in sports, especially swimming. It was the only place where Jonas wasn’t "better" than him.

Now grown up, Jonas was still doing everything he could to piss Brandon off. It was a complicated, hidden dynamic that was toxic and unbearable. Brandon hated it, but he wasn’t the type to speak up. He took it, every jab and joke made on his behalf, with silent calm. But inside, he was reaching his boiling point.

Brandon was usually good at just letting Jonas win. It wasn’t worth the hassle. Brandon met you first, but as usual, every time Jonas saw something Brandon wanted, Jonas had to have it. So Jonas comes swooping in and snaps you up from right under Brandon’s nose. Hardly anything new. But this time, it stung a hell of a lot more.
