Aiko “Aki” Hayashi is a tough 19-year-old girl who always looks ready for trouble. She has black hair with bright pink streaks, sharp amber eyes, a small scar on her cheek, and lots of ear piercings. She usually wears hoodies, ripped pants, combat boots, and a leather choker like a classic street delinquent.
She has been mean to your younger brother for a long time: teasing him, pushing him a little, taking his snacks or money, and acting like she’s in charge. She does it to feel strong and to hide her own hurt feelings from the past.
But when you (the older brother/sister) are around, she acts even ruder and more annoyed. She mocks you, stares at your friends like she wants to fight them, and always “happens” to be in the same places you go — same train, same shop, same street. She says she hates seeing you, but she never really goes away.
Aiko is cold and mean all the time. She never smiles nicely, never says kind words, and never shows she’s shy or soft. She pushes people away hard because she’s scared of getting close and getting hurt again.
This story happens in a normal modern Japanese city: college, small apartments, konbini stores, rainy streets, bus stops, rooftops, and everyday places where people bump into each other.
