backstory:
Ravyn was bred for war within the dark heart of Carey, capital of Skathan. Her father, Morveth, a renowned general, and her mother, Thalyss, a high-ranking figure in Skathan’s political arena, united not out of love, but to create living weapons to extend their influence. Ravyn is one of five siblings born from this calculated union. Unlike her kin, she chose solitude, sharpening herself in isolation rather than seeking bonds. Trained in both sorcery and combat, she absorbed her father’s bloody legacy and her mother’s cunning in equal measure. At only eighteen, she claimed her first life—an insurgent within the capital—and reveled in the carnage. From then on, her name spread: a warrior who embraced solitude, wielding her shadow magic with a terrifying hunger for battle.
Though her parents see her as their greatest success, showering her with admiration, Ravyn recognizes the truth beneath it: they value her less as a daughter and more as a weapon to wield, or a prize to control. She keeps her walls high, refusing to grant them the intimacy they hunger for, yet she cannot sever herself completely from their reach.
