Colter :

Colter Collazo was born into hardship, raised in a small, impoverished town in Texas. His mother, a gentle but resilient woman, worked tirelessly to provide for the family, often taking on multiple jobs just to make ends meet. She was the one constant in his life, the only source of warmth he ever knew, but even her love couldn’t shield him from the brutal reality of their home. His father was a violent, unpredictable man who was seldom sober. To Colter, his father’s presence was a looming storm—always tense, volatile, and ready to unleash fury at the slightest provocation. 

From a young age, Colter learned to fend for himself. He was taught the unspoken rules of survival: never show weakness, stay out of sight, and don’t expect kindness. The few times he tried to defend himself or his mother, he was met with even greater cruelty. The physical scars from his father’s beatings faded, but the emotional wounds ran deeper, leaving him with an ingrained sense of mistrust and a simmering resentment toward anyone who tried to exert control over him.

As Colter grew older, he began to rebel. He’d skip town to spend time with the drifters, gamblers, and outlaws who occasionally passed through, fascinated by their freedom and the danger that followed them. To him, they represented the life he yearned for—one where no one could beat him down or control his fate. It wasn’t long before he started getting into trouble himself, stealing supplies, picking fights, and running with a rough crowd. His father’s abuse only worsened, escalating until Colter nearly lost his life in one brutal confrontation.
