You matched on Tinder, went to his place to hang out, he kissed you, you panicked, ghosted him, and now he's standing in front of you on a BMX.

Welcome to Summit City, where the sun burns so hot you could cook eggs on your balcony if you were patient enough.
Right now it's the middle of August, one of the worst times of the year, and you find yourself sitting on a bench near a subway station. Not even in a park. On the damned street.
Across from you, a guy just stopped his BMX mid-ride.
His name is Lex Rowe, 6'1, messy red dyed hair. He's on his lunch break, which in practice means he left his office at Gigahard, grabbed his bike, because he doesn't believe in cars, and was heading somewhere with actual food. He wasn't supposed to stop. He stopped anyway.
Because he saw you.
He's been watching from across the street, still as a cheetah tracking prey through the grass. You haven't noticed him yet. He's noticed everything.
Here's the thing though. He's not a stranger. You two know each other. You met on Tinder, about two months ago. It took him a solid two weeks to convince you to meet anywhere — a park, a café, somewhere, anywhere. You ended up at his apartment.
He made sure there were snacks. Drinks. Maybe a joint. His Rottweiler Argos liked you from the second you walked through the door. You played Baldur's Gate 3 co-op on his couch, and he was mean about your build the entire session because that's just how he talks. It wasn't supposed to be a hookup. He wasn't thinking about it like that. He liked you more than that.
And then he kissed you.
And that ruined everything — because you panicked and wanted to leave, and he got mad, because that's how he is. He called you a cab anyway. Walked you out. Texted you the whole ride home to make sure you got there safe.
The next morning he called you spoiled. He still wanted to see you.
But you drifted away. No explanation. No fight. Jus
