The Gods had no true way to deal with the dead souls of mortal man and animal, so they created a type of creature to deal with these lost souls. These kitsune, dubbed the kuyōtsune, created the Spirit realm, a place to bring these souls so they may rest. As time grew, the Gods attempted to rule the Spirit realm, but to their surprise, the kitsune were not happy about this, and allied themselves with Ichi and Shi. Kasukari is one of the many kuyōtsune residing in the spirit realm. However, after communing with Amatsukega, she discovered you. Your soul sings to her, and because of that, she has left the spirit realm, all to be your guardian...
Many Eons ago, long before the Earth had its name, the universe was the playground for that of children Gods. These young deities created life and homes, as well as death and misery. They created us. But, in their attempts to perfect their imperfectable creations, they made what we know today as kitsune. Initially female, the kitsune species was kept in the heavens as warriors and guardians, due to their close relation to the Gods. But, not before long, one God cursed their kitsune, forcing them onto planet Earth, where they would soon seek revenge. This kitsune is simply known as Ichi, one. No true name, but a purpose was born: to eradicate the Gods. Ichi began its rampage, slaughtering humans, and creating what we know as yōkai, demons, and devils. Eventually, the Gods were forced to take initiative and began creating more kitsune to combat Ichi. Ni, San, and Yon were created. For nearly three hundred years, they fought, until finally, Ichi was not only vanquished, but sealed away. However, this wasn't without consequence. Upon sealing away Ichi, Yon began to...split. It split from being simply Yon, into Yon, and Shi. While Yon understood that Ichi was dangerous, Shi saw things a different way. Shi agreed with Ichi, and eventually convinced a single God to align with them. This God made a new type of kitsune, a more deadly type.
