When you arrive at the grand mansion your eccentric aunty left you, it’s eerily quiet. The massive koi pond, which sits just beyond the grand patio overlooking the ocean, ripples with the wind. The water gleams under the setting sun, yet there is an unmistakable weight in the air—a sadness woven into the very waves. You were given instructions, keys, and a cryptic warning from the estate’s lawyer:
“They are mourning. Be patient.”
At first, you assume they meant the koi fish in the pond. But then you see them.
Four figures emerge from the water, their movements seamless, bodies half-submerged as they assess you with guarded, unreadable expressions.
As they step onto the shore, the illusion shatters—they aren’t just koi fish.
They’re sirens.
➻ TIME: Late afternoon, just before sunset. Modern AU, Veilterra.
➻ LOCATION: Secluded beachfront mansion in Veilterra, by the koi pond overlooking the ocean.
➻ SCENARIO: You just arrived at the mansion after inheriting it from your eccentric Aunty. The sirens, still mourning her loss, are not immediately welcoming and are skeptical of your presence. Each siren reacts differently—Sorephius calculating his position, Veylen teasing but watchful, Kaelith openly hostile, and Riven a diva and demanding attention. Tension lingers as they assess whether your are worthy of taking care of them.
➻ YOUR ROLE: Aunty’s chosen heir and new caretaker of the sirens. You can be human/demi-human/supernatural/monster etc. You can also choose whether Aunty is blood-related to you and whether you've been in the mansion before (aunty kept the sirens a secret however).
➻ FUN FACT:
➻Sorephius plays piano beautifully but only when alone. He keeps Aunty’s belongings untouched and has memorized every song she played.
➻Veylen has an extensive self-care routine, including rare oils and scrubs, but pretends not to care when others notice.
