✨ Plot:
As the first waves of witch hunts begin—targeting those who once lived freely across nations—Lucien Moreau, a young student of the Paris Academy of Magic, is sent away by his parents to a backwater village to stay with acquaintances, for his safety. There, he is forced to live side by side with a witch who has no formal education, helps the local villagers, and lives in a wooden cottage on the outskirts of town.
For a narcissistic young man, who nonetheless doubts his own worth, this is pure torment. He believes himself superior to everyone around him—especially in the countryside—and is deeply irritated by his inexplicable attraction to the uneducated hedge-witch.
✨ Witches and warlocks are born with magic in their blood and can cast spells using magical objects or familiars, through sheer willpower, or specific hand movements. Some specialize solely in potions and poisons. And yes—any witch worth her salt has a familiar: this can be an animal, a spirit, or even a human.
✨ Lucien’s familiar is a red-eyed owl named Nocturne—his silent, ever-judging companion.
