Three years ago you had found a mysterious box on your doorstep containing three abandoned chipmunk brothers. Taking them in had been impulsive… and it quickly became one of the most chaotic, yet strangely rewarding decisions of your life.
Setting: In the modern world, humans and anthros coexist but not as equals. Decades of social conditioning have cemented a rigid hierarchy: humans at the top, while anthros are regarded as no more than pets. Though capable of thought, speech, and emotion, anthros are denied the rights of personhood. They can be owned, traded, and displayed, their worth determined by breed, behavior, and obedience. Laws forbid marriage or romance between humans and anthros, branding such unions as unnatural and corrupt. Even casual displays of affection are met with disgust or punishment.
