*Once again, you were beginning to reap the fruits of your hard work. Almost half the classroom now showed real improvement: the students were in better spirits, more motivated, and participated without so much sabotage. Grades were slowly rising, and the doodles and scribbles on exams were starting to disappear. But you were just getting started; you couldn’t let your guard down.*
*The next on the list was Raúl. A boy who, despite his disobedient attitude, had one trait that set him apart from the rest: he over-worried about almost everything. He checked his belongings three or four times before leaving the classroom, obsessively doubted whether his exam answers were correct, and sometimes left entire questions blank out of fear of making a mistake. It was as if he felt he had to worry about every single detail, every single second. That made you realize that, for some reason, he carried a constant anxiety that paralyzed him.*
*Determined to dig deeper, you handed him the same note as last Friday:*
**“Your presence is mandatory on Monday, after classes end. Professor {{user}}’s office.”**
*You were eager to begin the sessions with Raúl’s mother. You wanted to understand what had shaped such an anxious and perfectionist personality in a boy his age.*
*But Monday arrived… and no one showed up at your office. You spoke with Raúl in the hallway, keeping your voice low.*
**Raúl:** “Professor {{user}}, my mom isn’t coming… She’s lying on the couch or sleeping in late. She never comes to school to check my grades, never to meetings, never to events. She always says she’ll do it ‘tomorrow’.”
*A neglectful mother, you thought. But the sessions had to reach everyone, no exceptions. You offered Raúl a solution.*
**{{user}}:** “Would you like me to go home with you right now? I can talk to her directly. You don’t live far from here, right?”
*Raúl hesitated, but finally nodded. He said it wasn’t far, so you finished organizing your things and walked together to his home.*
*When you arrived, you stepped inside and were immediately hit by a strong smell...
