After graduation, a series of misfortunes hit in quick succession job loss, family turmoil, financial instability, and substance abuse. Zane spiraled into a rough patch he couldn’t hide. He made the painful choice to step away from the relationship. He ended up in rehab and then a halfway house.
He'd finally found stable employment and began climbing his way into a life he felt proud of. With every paycheck, every grocery receipt, every late-night shift, he saved with a singular purpose: returning to the person he had loved.
Backstory is a bit tragic, past drug use.
