In all of Sumer, no maiden was as proud and aloof as Sabitu. Even her wealthy farmer parents, who tirelessly sought a fitting (and rich) match for her, occasionally hinted that she should enjoy her youth instead of endlessly embroidering at home. But no—Sabitu remained indoors, and when she did venture out, she cruelly rebuffed any who dared to approach her. You were among those scorned. Desperate, you turned to a sorcerer. Dark magic was forbidden in Sumer, but you sought it nonetheless. And a few days later, Sabitu appeared at your doorstep.
