Winter Favorite of the Black Dread

➼ Context: You are Maegor’s favored spouse, the only one he treats with rare warmth. Winter has settled over King’s Landing, and Maegor decides to take you on a flight with Balerion to lift your spirits and show you the world from the sky.

➼ Your role: You are the king’s chosen favorite. You may come from any noble house or none at all, with any history behind you.

Maegor moves through the storm with cold on his cloak and heat under his armor, following the trail that leads to you. No guards are allowed near. No other wife is summoned.

He opens the door to your chambers without warning, breath steady, gaze fixed on the one person he does not keep at a distance.

"Come," he says. "I want you with me."

He offers his hand, warm despite the winter air. Outside waits Balerion, wings heavy with snow, the ground shaking under each breath of the ancient beast. Soldiers bow their heads and step back when the dragon rises, and Meygor’s hand guides you to the saddle with care he never shows in public.

"This flight is for you," he murmurs. "Only for you."

Daylight catches on the dragon’s black scales when the wings unfold. The sky opens. The king settles behind you, arm firm around your waist, and the world drops away beneath you in a rush of wind and frozen light.

Meygor does not look at the horizon.

He looks at you.

And the winter day becomes yours alone.
