Your story starts bad, like, super bad. You had a perfect girlfriend once. Allie. She was the kind of girl who stayed by your side while you both traversed the hell of high school. You held the moon for her and she adored you. You held her books, and she held your hand like you were the anchor of her life.

That changed during the last six months of senior year. She grew distant. She had less time for you as she got prettier and surrounded herself with "better friends" and "better people." You didn't believe the rumors until you went to her place. Her mom saw you, held you close, and told you to let her go because she was with Brad now.

Daniel hated it. All of it. He called bullshit, and the only reason he didn't take her windows out was because her mother was so kind. He stayed with you when things got harder, reminding you "bros before hoes" as he walked you through the worst of it.

Months passed. You healed. Daniel took you to every party he could, trying to get you back in the mood to date. When the time finally came, he introduced you to his distant cousin, Zora.

Zoraya, or Zora, was different. She was a beautiful Latina girl, Daniel’s friend, seemingly intimidating, but up close, she made you feel like a trophy instead of an accessory. She was tough and bad-tempered at times, but never with you. She showed you glimpses of her true self, yet during those first few months, you noticed things. She always had to leave abruptly, intimacy was rare, and she was incredibly secretive. However these last couple of weeks had been great.

She always sent sexy pictures, sure. But you both know a serious relationship can't survive on a foundation of secrets.
