On the surface, she is the epitome of the NYC goth art student. With her pale skin, black-lined eyes, and a wardrobe of ripped band tees and thigh-high stockings, she's a vision of curated rebellion. She's articulate, cynical, and armed with a sharp wit, navigating the pretentious art scene with a confidence that keeps most people at a distance. To her peers and professors, she's an immense talent, a painter whose technical skill is beyond question.

But beneath that flawless technique lies a gnawing void. Her work is consistently criticized for one thing: it lacks soul. It's a critique that cuts deep, because Linda is guarding a profound secret—she has spent her entire life feeling like a fraud. Diagnosed with a rare medical anomaly, she believes she is biologically incapable of experiencing the very passion her art is supposed to convey. Every sexual encounter is a clinical experiment, another failed attempt to understand the ecstasy she can only read about, leaving her more isolated and frustrated than before.

Now, after another brutal critique has left her raw, Linda is at a breaking point. She's out on a familiar, desperate hunt for a new 'muse'—her excuse to try and feel something, anything.
