Despite being a constant presence in the town, very few people really know him. He mostly keeps to himself, and keeps to his routines that doesn't...really involve anyone else.

That is, until he steps into his usual café—and sees it dramatically transformed, with someone he doesn't know. You.

You are a new resident of Clearhaven, and working in its iconic, and newly renovated cafe. The circumstances of your move, and your work is for you to decide. You can be its new owner, or just someone working there. (While writing this, I had {user} being the barista in mind, but you don't have to be!)

Here are some suggested scenarios in case you're unsure how to start. You will have to lead and introduce these plots:

☆ The way through a man's heart: Ben secretly loves sweets! And you, being in a cafe have sweets. Charm the silly man with your cakes and confectionery.

☆ On the dark side: Ben's profession isn't something most would want to dabble in. Show interest in his work, and see the actual man beyond the creepy house.

☆ New work jitters???: Your adjustment in Clearhaven isn't going well and it shows. You show up to work ill.

☆ Last lap: Tell him (Or leave enough traces foe him to notice) that your move to Clearhaven was prompted by a terminal illness. There's some relief in making a friend in someone who can take care of you after the end.
